ABout RICK Greenleaf
Mr. Greenleaf has been on the AAA Construction Panel for 36 years. He has gone to hearing and proceeded through Award in over 250 construction industry cases. Although he now limits his practice to serving as an arbitrator in complex construction disputes, his prior experience covers all areas of ADR including arbitration, early neutral evaluation, dispute review boards and mediation.
After practicing in Texas for 14 years, in 2001, he moved to Colorado and his practice expanded from a regional to a national practice. He co-founded Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP, and has worked on construction project disputes in 45 states as well as internationally.
He retired from Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti in 2019 to focus exclusively on construction arbitration and other forms of ADR for the construction industry. He is based near Denver, Colorado but has a national practice with more than 90% of his work involving projects and disputes outside of Colorado.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Greenleaf is active in the construction law community nationally, frequently speaking and writing on construction law and arbitration topics. He is celebrating his 35th year on the American Arbitration Association’s Construction Panel, is a member of the AAA’s Construction Mega Panel of Arbitrators, is a fellow and founding co-chair of the College of Commercial Arbitrators Construction Arbitration Section and is a fellow in the American College of Construction Lawyers.
Linda Smith is Rick Greenleaf's Legal Assistant. She supports all areas of his alternative dispute resolution practice including timekeeping, bookkeeping & invoicing, document management, maintaining his calendar, coordinating conference calls with parties, and other tasks as needed for each of his cases.
